Applying for lessons
Pupils may apply for tuition at any time if they know which instrument they wish to learn. We aim to start lessons as soon as possible subject to a minimum number of applications being received for the same instrument.
Please read the Tuition Agreement before applying. Applications can be Completed Online or via a Printable Application form which should be returned by post.
What happens next?
-
Places are allocated on receipt of application
-
Your child’s instrumental teacher will contact you to confirm the day and time of the first lesson
-
When you have received confirmation of the start date, arrangements will need to be made to obtain an instrument in readiness for the first lesson
-
If places are over subscribed or insufficient applications have been received your child will be placed on a waiting list. Waiting lists are regularly monitored with the aim of starting tuition as soon as possible
Advanced Tuition Scheme
The Advanced Tuition Scheme enables Gifted and Talented pupils to receive individual tuition. This is suitable for pupils who are of approximately Grade V standard or equivalent. If a teacher feels that a pupil would benefit from individual tuition before reaching this standard it may be possible to receive tuition on the Advanced Scheme at an earlier stage.
